How the pricing works at each pharmacy#

Totiva#

The consultation is free. A UK clinician reviews your answers first. You are only charged if your treatment is approved.

There is no subscription. You order a pack and reorder when you need more. The price on your first order is the same standard price you pay later, so there is no low opening offer that rises afterwards. You can see every current pack on our ED page at /services/ed.

MedExpress#

MedExpress is not a subscription service, and its consultation fee is free. You are charged upfront for your order, rather than only after approval.

The tables above show standard pack prices. When you compare, look at the same pack at its standard price. A first-order offer can make one pharmacy look cheaper for a single order, even if later orders cost more.

Which is cheaper, Totiva or MedExpress?#

On 3 November 2026, Totiva was cheaper at every compared pack: 28 out of 28. The gap was largest on the generic packs. On the branded packs, it was smaller, often £1.

A fair comparison means the same medicine, the same strength and the same number of tablets. Comparing a 4-tablet pack at one pharmacy with a 16-tablet pack at another tells you very little.

Support and service#

Price matters, but so does getting a clear answer when you have a question about your treatment.

At Totiva#

  • Support is handled by people, not bots.
  • Prescribers are UK-registered clinicians.
  • You will not be asked for awkward consultation photos.
  • You may still need to do an identity face match, which simply confirms you are who you say you are.

At MedExpress#

  • Support is provided by AI bots.
  • Live chat with humans is available after you have been charged upfront.

Is MedExpress legit?#

The simplest way to check any UK online pharmacy is to look it up yourself. Search the GPhC register for the pharmacy's name or registration number. Then read its latest inspection report on the GPhC inspections website.

We have not stated a registration number or inspection result for MedExpress here. Checking the register directly gives you the current, official answer.

For comparison, Totiva is registered with the GPhC under number 9012997 and passed its most recent GPhC inspection.

Reading reviews of online pharmacies#

Reviews can help, but they work best when you read them with a little care. We have not quoted review scores, because they change often. Instead, look for these things:

  • Recent reviews. A pharmacy's service can change over a year, so the last few months matter most.
  • The negative reviews and the replies. See how the pharmacy responds. A clear, helpful reply is a good sign.
  • Patterns. One late parcel is bad luck. Many reviews about the same problem point to something real.
  • Pharmacy complaint or side effect? A headache after a tablet is a side effect of the medicine, not a failing of the pharmacy. Delivery, refunds and support are what a review tells you about the service.

Who each service may suit#

MedExpress may suit you if:#

  • You want to use a regulated UK pharmacy and have checked its registration yourself.
  • You want a service with no subscription and a free consultation, and you are happy to pay upfront.
  • You have read its current price for the exact pack you want.

Totiva may suit you if:#

  • You want the lower price: Totiva was cheaper at every compared pack on 3 November 2026.
  • You want to pay nothing unless your treatment is approved.
  • You prefer support from people, not bots.

Which medicine is right for you is a clinical decision. It depends on your health, other medicines and how you want to use it.

Checking any online pharmacy in the UK#

Sildenafil and tadalafil for ED are prescription-only medicines. That means a prescriber must review a consultation before you can have them. Viagra Connect and Cialis Together are pharmacy medicines. You do not need a prescription, but a pharmacist still needs to check they are suitable for you.

Before you order from any site, check:

  • It appears on the GPhC register.
  • Its latest GPhC inspection report.
  • It never supplies a prescription medicine without a consultation.
  • It is a registered pharmacy, not a seller on social media or a messaging app.

A consultation does not guarantee a supply. If a clinician thinks a medicine is not safe for you, they should say no and explain why. Totiva's ED consultation is for men aged 18 to 75.

When to speak to a clinician#

Talk to a doctor or pharmacist before using ED medicine if any of these apply:

  • You take nitrates (such as GTN spray for angina) or riociguat.
  • You get chest pain.
  • You have had a stroke or heart attack recently.
  • You have had an erection that does not go away.
  • You notice a sudden change in your vision or hearing.

An erection that lasts more than 4 hours needs urgent medical help, so go to A&E. If you get chest pain during sex, stop and call 999.

If you are ready to see what is suitable, you can start a free consultation. A UK clinician reviews your answers, and you only pay if treatment is approved.
