Does Gaviscon help with sulphur burps?

Sulphur burps on a GLP-1 are usually caused by food sitting in the stomach for longer. Gaviscon can ease the acid and indigestion that often come with them. Eating smaller portions and cutting back on eggs, red meat, broccoli and fizzy drinks can also help. Pepto-Bismol is another option for sulphur burps.

How quickly does Gaviscon work?

Gaviscon usually starts working within minutes of chewing the tablets, and the protective raft can last for several hours.

Can I take Gaviscon with my weight loss medicine?

Gaviscon is generally fine to use alongside Mounjaro, Wegovy and other GLP-1 injections. Our pharmacist checks your answers and other medicines before anything is sent. If you take Wegovy tablets , take your weight loss tablet first on an empty stomach and wait at least 30 minutes before taking anything else, including Gaviscon.
