Key Takeaways

Totiva's standard price is lower than Bolt Pharmacy's at every strength of Mounjaro, Wegovy pens, Wegovy tablets and Foundayo in our comparison. Totiva has no subscription, one standard price, and charges only after approval. Bolt offers a first-month discount and subscriptions.

Totiva and Bolt Pharmacy are both UK online pharmacies that supply weight loss treatment. The biggest difference between them is how you pay. Bolt Pharmacy offers a first-month promotional discount and a small discount for monthly subscribers. Totiva has no subscription and no introductory offer, so you pay the same standard price from your first order. That standard price is lower than Bolt Pharmacy's standard price at every strength we compared.

At Totiva, Mounjaro starts from £136.88 per pen, Wegovy pens from £92.88 per pen, Wegovy tablets from £98 per pack and Foundayo from £85.88 per pack. Bolt Pharmacy's standard prices for the same medicines start at £169, £119, £119 and £129 respectively. The full strength-by-strength comparison is below.

Totiva is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) under number 9012997. You can check any pharmacy's registration, and its latest inspection report, on the GPhC website. This guide compares services and prices for the medicines both pharmacies list.

How the pricing works at each pharmacy#

The price on the page is only part of the picture. What matters just as much is when you pay, whether the price changes after your first month, and whether you are signed up to anything.

Totiva#

Totiva uses a "pay on approval" model. The online consultation is free. A prescriber reviews your answers, and you are only charged if they approve treatment. If you are not approved, you pay nothing.

There is no subscription. You reorder when you need your next pen or pack, and you can stop at any time. The price you see on your first order is the standard price. There is no introductory rate that goes up later.

Mounjaro starts from £136.88 per pen at the 2.5mg starting dose. Wegovy pens start from £92.88 per pen. Higher strengths cost more, but as the tables above show, Totiva's price is lower at every strength. You can see our full pricing on our weight loss page.

Bolt Pharmacy#

Bolt Pharmacy offers a promotional discount on the first month. After that, monthly subscribers get a small ongoing discount. This can suit people who know they want to stay on treatment and like the idea of automatic monthly orders.

If you are comparing, it helps to look at two numbers: the first-month price and the price from month 2 onwards. With any introductory offer, the second figure is the one you will usually pay for most of your treatment. Even with a small subscription discount, check it against Totiva's standard price for the same strength.

Bolt Pharmacy Mounjaro price#

Bolt Pharmacy's standard Mounjaro price starts at £169 per pen for the 2.5mg starting dose and rises to £319 for 15mg. Totiva's starts at £136.88 and rises to £268.88. Prices for weight loss injections change fairly often, so check Bolt Pharmacy's own website on the day you compare.

Most people start on 2.5mg Mounjaro and move up over the following months. A low starting price does not tell you what the higher doses cost, which is why the full strength-by-strength comparison above is worth reading.

Which is cheaper, Totiva or Bolt Pharmacy?#

On standard prices, Totiva is cheaper at every strength of Mounjaro, Wegovy pens, Wegovy tablets and Foundayo that we compared (Totiva prices checked October 2026, Bolt Pharmacy prices checked October 2026). The gap ranges from £10.12 to £100.12 per pen or pack.

To compare fairly, look at the same medicine, the same strength and the same month of treatment. Include any subscription discount at Bolt Pharmacy, and remember that a first-month promotion only applies once.

Does Bolt Pharmacy use a subscription?#

Bolt Pharmacy offers a monthly subscription, and subscribers get a small discount. Based on what Bolt Pharmacy publishes, the subscription is how you get its lower ongoing price. Check its current terms for how to pause or cancel before you sign up.

Totiva does not offer a subscription. There is no plan, no minimum term and nothing to cancel. Each order is separate, and the price is the same whether it is your first order or your tenth.

Neither approach is right or wrong. A subscription can be convenient if you want orders to arrive without thinking about them. Ordering as you go can suit people who want full control, or whose dose and plans may change.

Support and service#

Good support matters with weight loss injections. Side effects like nausea are common in the early weeks, and you may have questions about doses, missed injections or travel.

At Totiva#

When you contact Totiva, you speak to a person. Support is staffed by people at all times, not by bots, so your questions about doses, side effects or missed injections are answered by someone with pharmacy training.

All Totiva clinicians are based and registered in the UK. A prescriber reviews your answers and decides whether treatment is suitable for you.

Totiva does not ask for awkward consultation photos. You may still need to complete an identity face match, which is a security check to confirm you are who you say you are.

At Bolt Pharmacy#

Bolt Pharmacy offers monthly check-ins through its app and website. It also publishes written guides on nutrition and managing side effects, which some people find helpful alongside their medicine.

Customer service is available on WhatsApp and email. Bolt Pharmacy makes heavy use of automated tools, so if you want to be sure of reaching a person, it is worth checking how to do that before you order.

Is Bolt Pharmacy legit?#

You should always check this for yourself rather than rely on a comparison article. The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is the regulator for pharmacies in Great Britain. Its online register shows whether a pharmacy is registered, and you can search it by pharmacy name.

The GPhC also inspects pharmacies and publishes its inspection reports. These show whether a pharmacy met the GPhC standards at its most recent inspection. Bolt Pharmacy did not pass its most recent GPhC inspection and has an improvement action plan in place. Totiva passed its most recent inspection. Totiva is GPhC-registered under number 9012997 and is operated by ZapMeds Limited.

Reading the latest report for any pharmacy you are considering is a sensible step, and it only takes a few minutes. Search the GPhC register and the GPhC inspection reports to see the current position for yourself.

Reading reviews of online pharmacies#

Review scores move over time, so we have not quoted a rating for either pharmacy. Sites like Trustpilot and Google reviews will give you the current picture. When you read reviews of any online pharmacy, a few tips help:

  • Look at recent reviews, not just the overall score.
  • Read the negative ones to see what went wrong and how the pharmacy responded.
  • Watch for patterns, such as repeated delivery or billing problems.
  • Check whether complaints are about the pharmacy or about the medicine's side effects, which happen wherever you get it.

Who each pharmacy may suit#

The best fit depends on your situation and what matters most to you.

Bolt Pharmacy may suit you if:#

  • You like a structured programme with monthly check-ins and written nutrition guides.
  • You are happy with a monthly subscription in return for a lower ongoing price.
  • You want to take advantage of a first-month promotional discount.

Totiva may suit you if:#

  • You want a lower standard price at every strength of Mounjaro, Wegovy or Foundayo.
  • You do not want a subscription, plan or lock-in.
  • You want the same price every month, with no introductory rate that changes.
  • You want to pay nothing unless a prescriber approves treatment.
  • You would rather talk to a person than a bot whenever you need support.
  • You want to choose a pharmacy that passed its most recent GPhC inspection.

Checking any online pharmacy in the UK#

Whichever pharmacy you choose, a few checks keep you safe. Weight loss injections are prescription-only medicines. A legitimate UK pharmacy will always ask health questions before supplying them.

  • Check the GPhC register for the pharmacy's registration number.
  • Read its latest GPhC inspection report.
  • Be wary of any website selling Mounjaro or Wegovy without a consultation.
  • Avoid social media sellers and unlicensed "weight loss pens". The MHRA has warned that fake versions are being sold online.

It is also worth knowing that a consultation does not mean you will get a prescription. At both pharmacies, a prescriber looks at your health history and decides what is suitable. Sometimes the answer is a different treatment, or no medicine at all.

At Totiva, weight loss treatment is for adults aged 18 to 74, and eligibility is assessed individually by a clinician.

When to speak to a clinician#

Talk to a doctor, pharmacist or prescriber before starting weight loss injections if any of these apply:

  • You are pregnant, trying to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You have had pancreatitis, gallbladder problems or an eating disorder.
  • You have diabetes and take insulin or other medicines that lower blood sugar.
  • You take the contraceptive pill. Mounjaro (tirzepatide) can make oral contraceptive pills less effective. MHRA advice is to use an additional barrier method of contraception for 4 weeks after starting Mounjaro and for 4 weeks after each dose increase. If you are using Wegovy or another medicine, ask your prescriber or pharmacist what applies to you.

Once you start, get medical help quickly if you have severe stomach pain that does not go away, especially if it spreads to your back. This can be a sign of pancreatitis. Also seek help for signs of dehydration from ongoing vomiting or diarrhoea.

If you would like to see whether treatment is right for you, you can start a free consultation. A prescriber will review your answers, and you only pay if treatment is approved.
